Our Battle for Azeroth raids have kicked off this week – we’re a little later in starting than we’d hoped, but real life kept getting in the way for a number of us, and we didn’t want to go in early without our core team. So here we are – one night into BfA raiding and we’re four bosses down in Uldir Normal. Last night saw the deaths of Taloc, MOTHER, Fetid Devourer and Zek’voz. No kill shots to hand, as my screenshots are on my other computer, but imagine a bunch of dead bosses and some slightly-more-blinged-out raiders and you’ll get the picture. ;)
Next up, Vectis, and then onto Zul Reborn!
The Catch-Up
Our updates might have been thin on the ground in Warlords of Draenor and Legion, but we were certainly here, murdering orcs and then demons, left right and centre. Here’s how we went:
- We were slow to get started in WoD, with so many of us coming back from our MoP hiatus (SWTOR-induced or otherwise) to explore WoW again. As a result, we were a tier behind for most of the expansion; we cleared all the content in Normal, and got through half of Hellfire Citadel in Heroic before we took a break in the leadup to Legion.
- In Legion we started much stronger, and got halfway through the Heroic clear of Emerald Nightmare and Nighthold before moving onto the next raid in each case.
- And we finished off Legion with some strong Heroic progression – 8/9 Heroic in Tomb of Sargeras when Antorus launched and we moved on, and then 8/11 Heroic in Antorus before our end-of-expansion break looked more appealing than killing more bosses.
- That’s a great result given that we only raid for 4-5 hours a week, thanks to offline life and all its demands. Here’s to more raid success in BfA!
Open For Business
All our core role requirements are currently filled, but if you’re looking for a friendly, relaxed raid group operating in Aussie peak times, drop us a line and see if we’re right for each other – we’re always happy to meet fresh meat new blood. And if you’re an old Warden thinking about checking out WoW’s recent updates, we’d love to see you again!
